Alex Beard, founder of Plan to Defend LLC, has always loved to help people. He has always been concerned and pro-active for ensuring that the people he loved were safe and cared for. That is his nature!

In 2010 Beard volunteered and began his service as a Lone Soldier in the Israeli Defense Force. As a Recruit, Alex underwent extreme physical conditioning and training in Krav Maga, specialist combat training and extensive rifle training in weapons understanding, safety, use and maintenance.

Alex successfully completed long exercises in the field and mastery of techniques to survive on combat rations, limited water, extreme desert heat, sleep deprivation, and field injuries all while being subjected to intense physical activity, adding to his already strong character, focus and strength of mind.

As a Lone Soldier, Alex was involved in fightng terrorism and defending Israel on the borders of Lebanon, the Gaza Strip, Syria, and Egypt. As a member of the IDF, Alex was focused on maintaining the security of Israeli civilians every single day with actvites aimed to contribute to the overall safety of civilians everywhere.

Alex always puts 100% of himself, his knowledge and caring into ensuring the safety of the people he loves and now he is here to help you and your loved ones too. Whether working with Alex in group, semi-private or private classes, he will guide and teach you to become comfortable and feel safe in handling firearms and to gain firearm safety skills.
